APE Research Council: APE Research Council Launches Web Site
The Alkylphenols & Ethoxylates Research Council today launched a new web site (http://www.aperc.org), an online resource for information about the safety of alkylphenols (APs) and alkylphenol ethoxylates (APEs).
The web site incorporates information on biodegradation and environmental and health effects of APs and APEs and reviews research on questions raised by the "endocrine disruption" hypothesis. The web site contains links to additional APE-related web sites and APE producer companies.
APE Research Council Chairman Joe Fette of Dover Chemical Corporation said, "One of the objectives of the APE Research Council is to answer questions raised by our customers and the media, as well as others interested in APEs. This web site provides greater access to information on APEs and allows the Research Council to present the latest studies in a timely manner."
The APE Research Council will regularly update the web site with new research findings and other developments regarding APs and APEs.
APEs play an important role in a number of industrial applications, including pulp and paper, textiles, coatings, agricultural pesticides, lube oils, fuels and metals, as well as industrial, institutional and household cleaning products. The APE Research Council is composed of manufacturers, processors, users and raw material suppliers.
The APE Research Council e-mail address is: info@aperc.org.
